150 M long is running at 72 km per hour it crosses a bridge in 13 seconds find the length of the bridge

here is your answer !!

total distance =>

sum of Length of train +. Length of bridge

let the length of bridge be x


now ,

150 + x m

5 / 18 × 72 m / s



20 m / s


now ,


time = distance / speed

=> 13 = 150m + x / 20


260 = 150 m + x


x = 110 m



hence , the Length of bridge is => 110 m

speed = v = 72 km

time = 13s

total distance covered by the train is
=
d = length of the train+ length of the bridge
d = 150+x

v = d/t

vt = d

72×13 = 150+x

936 m - 150m = x

786 m = x

so the length of the bridge is 786 metre
