Answer:

Train will take 9 seconds to pass the man

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of train = 165 m

Speed of train = 60km/hr

Speed of man = 6 km/hr

To find:

Time in which it will pass the man = ?

Solution;

Given is the length of the train which is 165 m

Now This is the question of the relative velocity

as both are moving in opposite directions to each other so when they will move according to each other

then

velocity of train relative to man = velocity of train + velocity of man

(moving in opposite direction )

SO

Relative velocity = 60 + 6

                          = 66 km/hr

Converting it into m/s

for this we will multiply with 1000 and divide with 3600

because 1 km = 1000 m and 1 hour = 3600 s

Relative velocity =

                           =18.33 m/s

Now we know the distance formula

Distance = speed * time

We have to find time so

time =

putting in the values we get

time =

      = 9.0001 s

      ≈ 9 seconds

So train will take 9 seconds to pass the man

Answer:

9 sec

Step-by-step explanation:
