Answer:

22.5 m /sec

Step-by-step explanation:

(200+250)/2x=10

450/2x=10

x=22.5m/sec

The speed of each train is  22.5m/sec.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The length of the one  train is 200 m.

One train crosses another train travel  in opposite direction in 10 sec.

The length of the other train is 250 m.

Both  trains speed are equal.

To Find :

The speed of each train .

Formula Used:

T=\frac{(P+Q)}{(R+S)}      ----------------- formula no. 01.

T is time taken by trains to cross each other.

P and Q are the length of  the trains are moving in opposite directions.

R and S  are the speed of the trains.

Solution:

As given- The length of one  train is 200 meter. The length of other train is 250 meter. One train crosses another train travel in opposite direction in 10 sec.

P=200 meter   ,  Q=250 meter      and T=10

As given- both  trains speed are equal.

Let speed of  each  trains is Z.

Then   R=Z     and S=Z

Putting   value of P, Q, T  , R and S in formula no. 01.

T=\frac{(P+Q)}{(R+S)}

10=\frac{(200+250)}{(Z+Z)}

10=\frac{450}{2Z}

Z=\frac{450}{20}

Z=22.5 meter/sec

Thus, speed of  each  trains is  22.5 meter/sec.
