A train 210 m long took 12 seconds to pass a 90 m long tunnel. Find the speed of
the train.

given that

length of the train = 210m

length of the tunnel = 90m

therefore, the total distance covered by the train = 210 + 90 = 300m

time taken by the train to cover the total distance = 12sec

calculating the speed

= speed = distance/time

speed = 300/12

speed = 20m/s

obtained speed is in m/s

1 km = 1000m

1 hour = 3600s

speed= 3600/1000

speed = (25) (3600/1000)

speed = 90km/hr

Therefore, the speed of the train = 90km/hr
