A train 270m long is running at 80km/ hrs how much time will it take to crosst a bridge 130m long

SO WE HAVE TO FIND THE TIME THAT THE TRAIN TAKES TO CROSS THE BRIDGE:

80km/hr. = 22.2m/s

here we can find the answer simply by using velocity formula which is

⇒ v = distance/time

but the logic here is that the train completely passes the bridge only when the last tip of its last compartment is out. so we have to take the total distance as:

Length of bridge+ Length of train

= 270+130

=400m

so the time taken is;

22.2 = 400/t

t= 18.01 sec
