A train 273 m long, is running at 60 km/hr, If it takes 27 seconds to cross a tunnel then find the length of the tunnel.​

length of the tunnel+length of the train

Let the length of the train = x

Given that length of the train = 273 m

Time taken to cross the tunnel = 27 seconds

Speed of the train = 60kmph = 60 x 5/18 = 300/18 = 50/3 m/s

{1kmph = 5/18m/s}

Distance =  speed x time

273+x = (50/3)(27)

273+x = 450

x = 450 - 273 =  177m

Therefore length of the bridge = 177m
