Find the solution below: -

Length of the train is 280 m equal to distance travel.

According to the question

Distance Travelled= 280 m

Speed of the train = 42km/h= 700/60m/s

Using the formula Time = Distance/Time

= 280÷700/60

= 280×60/700

= 16800/700

= 24s

Therefore, answer: - Train will take 24 seconds to pass a man standing on the platform.
