\bf\red{Given\ :–}

Distance = 300 m

Speed = 85 km/h

\bf\green{To\ Find\ :–}

a). Time taken to cross a signal

b) Time taken to go past the platform 500 m long.

a) t = distance / speed

t = 300/23.6

t = 12.7s ( 13 sec )

b). Total distance = Length of platform + length of train

Distance = 500+300 = 800m

Speed = 23.6m/s

t = 800/23.6

t = 33.8s ( 34 sec )

Hope it helps.
