Step:1 Given that ,

Train length= 350m

Train speed= 108 km/hour

Step :2

a . First we have to change the speed of train into m/ sec unit

We know ,

1km= 1000 meters

1 hour= 60 minutes

1 minutes = 60 seconds

1 hour = 60×60 seconds

= 3600 seconds

b. For change speed from km/hour into meter second= 1000/3600 m/sec

= 5/18

c. Now we change the speed of train into m/sec by these given explanation = 108 * (5/18)

= 30 m/sec

Given that, time taken by train to cross a bridge is =40 sec

a. Its mean the train travelled

its length and the bridge length in 40 seconds

b. Let ,

the bridge length= B

By the question,

We have the equation,

( B+350) m/30 m/sec = 40 sec

B+350 = 1200

B = 1200 - 350

= 850 m
