So when the train reaches the bridge, the end of the train is 360m away from the bridge and it has to cross the train length as well as the bridge length. That means it has to cross the distance of 140m+360m=500m.

now,

Time needed to travel 4500m= 1hr

Time needed to travel 1m= (1/4500)hr

Time needed to travel 500m= (1/4500*500)hr=1/9 hr= (1/9*60*60)s=400s=6mins40s
