a train 40 m long passes over a bridge 200 m long at a speed of 36 km/h.How long will it take to pass completely over the bridge?

distance=240
36*5/18=10m/s
time=240/10=24sec

Total distance will be 240m.

Now we know speed is 36kmph.

36kmph = 10m/s

Hence time = distance/speed

240/10

24 seconds.

Note- We convert 36kmph to mps because the length of the train was in metre and before comparison we must convert them in same units.
