here...
it is given....
A train 80 meters long is running at a speed of 80 km/hr. The time that the train will take to pass a platform of length 120 meters is (in seconds
------------------------------------
we know that ...
distance
= time × speed
___________________
here it is given...
speed of train
= 80km/h
= 80× 5/18 =400/18m/s
---------------'-------------------
now.......
distance is
length of train =80 m
length of plateform
= 120m
------------------------------------
so....
total distance
=120 +80
= 200 m
---------------------------------
time = distance / speed
----------------------------------
time =200/(400/18)
= 200×18/400
= 18/2
= 9 second

Find the distance the train needs to travel to pass the platform:

Distance = 80 + 120 = 200 m

Speed = 80 km/h (Given)

1 hour = 80 km

Find time needed to traveled 1 meter:

80 km = 1 hour

Convert km to m

80 000 m = 1 hour

Convert 1 hour to seconds:

80000 m = 3600 seconds

Find 1 m:

1 m = 36000 ÷ 80000

1 m = 0.045 seconds

Find 200m:

1 m = 0.045 seconds

200m = 0.045 x 200

200m = 9 seconds

Answer: (4) 9 seconds
