t = 30 s = 1/2 h
u = 30 km/h
v = 60 km/h
First we will find the acceleration so that we can put the values in the second equation of motion.
a = ∆v/∆t
a = (60-30) ÷ 1/2
a = (60-30) × 2
a = 60 km/h^2
Second equation of motion:
x = ut + 1/2at^2
=> x = (30)(1/2) + 1/2(60)(1/4)
=> x = 15 + 15/2
=> x = 45/2
=> x = 22.5 km
