Answer:

750m

Explanation:

INITIAL VELOCITY OF TRAIN(u): 0

FINAL VELOCITY (v) : 180 km/h

ON CONVERTING IT TO m/s:

180 \times  \frac{5}{18}  = 50m {s}^{ - 1}

TIME TAKEN(t) : 1/2 minute

1/2 MINUTE = 30 sec

ACCELERATION =

 \frac{v - u}{t}  =  \frac{50 - 0}{ 30 }  =  \frac{5}{3} m {s}^{ - 2}

WE KNOW THAT,

s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}

DISTANCE COVERED IN HALFMINUTE(s):

0.30 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{5}{3}  \times  {30}^{2} = 750m

ANSWER : 750m
