Given :

the train has started from rest

hence, its initial velocity = 0m/s

its final velocity = 20m/s

time taken = 600 s

formula to be used :

acceleration =

(final velocity - initial velocity)/time

or, a= (v-u)/t

solution :

a= (v-u)/t

or, a= (20-0)/600

or, a= (20/600)

or, a= 1/30 m/s^2
