here is your answer by Sujeet yaduvanshi,

Given that,
a train covered A distance at uniform motion,
distance of journey=xy

Now, we can follow on..
A/q.
let to be original speed x
let to be time taken y
Case 1.
(x-6)(y+12)=xy
xy-6y+12x-72=xy
-6y+12x=72....
12x-6y=72 _____(3)

Case 2..

(x+6)(y-8)=xy

xy+6y-8x-48=xy
-8x+6y=48____(4)

Now solving the equation by elimination method,for equation 3 and 4

12x-6y=72. *-8
-8x+6y=48. *12

-96x+48y=-576
-96x+72y=+576

_____________
24y=1152
y=1152/24=48

Again,
12x-6y=72
12x-6(48)=72
12x-288=72
12x=72+288
12x=360
x=360/12
x=30

Now,

Distance=Time* speed
Distance=30*48
Distance=1440km

that's all,
