Distance = 51 km

Time = 3 hrs

Speed = Distance/Time

Speed = 51/3 = 17 km/h

Now,

Speed = 17 km/h

Time = 30 minutes = 1 hr = 60 minutes = 30/60 hr = ½ hr = 0.5 hr

Distance = Speed × Time

Distance = 17 × 0.5 = 8.5 km

Hence, speed of a train = 17 km/h and distance covered by it in 30 minutes = 8.5 km.

Answer:

Speed Of Train = 4.723 m/s

Distance Covered in 30 mins = 8501.4 m

Step-by-step explanation:

We Have :-

Distance Covered by Train = 51 km = 51000 m

Time = 3 hours = 180 mins = 10800 sec

To Find :-

Speed of the train

Distance covered by it in 30 mins or 1800 sec

Formula Used :-

Speed = Distance / Time

Solution :-

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time} \\\\Speed = \frac{51000}{10800} \\\\Speed = 4.723 m/s\\\\Distance = Speed*Time\\\\= 4.723 * 1800\\\\= 8501.4 m\ or\ 8.5014km\\\\
