Original speed =12300=25km/hr.

In dept

First you know the formula

Speed =timedistance= T 300=x

At increased speed, 

⇒x+5=t−2300                  ...(2)

Substituting eq. (1) in eq.(2), we get

⇒t300+5=t−2300

⇒(300+5t)(t−2)=300t

⇒300t−600+5t2−10t=300t

⇒5t2−10t−600=0

∴t2−2t−120=0

∴t2−12t+10t−120=0

∴t(t−12)+10(t−12)=0

∴(t−12)(t+10)=0

∴t=12 or t=−10

∵t cannot be negative, t=12hrs

∴ Original speed =12300=25km/hr.
