Distance = x mtrs

time takes is (x/2 /20) + (x/2 /30)

= x/40 + x/60 sec

= (3x/120 + 2x/120) sec

= 5x/120 seconds

|velocity| = speed = dist (x) / time (5x/120)

= 1m/(5/120)sec

=120/5 m/sec

= 24 m/s
