A train covers half of its journey with a speed of 60mpersecond and the other half with a speed of 40mper second. calculate the speed of the train during the whole journey.

Here's your answer!!

We know that,
Average velocity=initial velocity+final velocity/2

The initial velocity of the train=60m/s.

The final velocity of the train=40m/s.

Average velocity

= u+v / 2

= 60meter per sec+40 meter per sec/2

= 100/2

= 50 m/s
