Answer:

Length of the train = X m (Let.) To pass the bridge train need to cover Train's length + Bridge legnth (X + 264). Speed of the train = 176/8 = 22 m/sec = (22*18)/5 = 79.2 Kmph.

Answer: ur required answer Ayan ;-

Let the length of the train be x meter and its speed by y m/ sec

since , distance = speed × time

∴ distance / speed = time .

⇒ x /y =  8 ⇒ y = x/8   ....... (i)

and

⇒ x+264 / y = 20 ⇒ x + 264 = 20 y    ......... (ii )

Now put y = x/8 in equation ( ii )  , we get

⇒ x + 264 = 20 × x/8

⇒ 8 ( x + 264 ) = 20 x

⇒ 8x + 2112 = 20 x

⇒ 12 x = 2112

⇒ x = 176 .

So , the length of the train be x = 176 meters .
