Then to cross the plat form of length 90 m it has to cover the distance L + 90
If v is the speed then (L + 90) = v * 30 ---(1)
To cross the person distance to be covered is L
So L = v * 15 --(2)
Dividing and rearranging we get L + 90 = 2 L
OR L = 90 m
Hence the speed = v = 90/15 = 6 m/s
