Answer:

Given:

Speed of the train = 15 m/s.

Length of the platform = 300 meters

Time taken by train to cross the platform = 35 seconds.

Concept used:

When the train crosss the platform, then

the total distance traveled by the train will be equal to the sum of length of the train and the length of the platform.

Formula used:

Distance = Speed × Time

Calculation:

Let the length of the train be x.

According to the question,

300 + x = 15 × 35

⇒ 300 + x = 525

⇒ x = 525 - 300

⇒ x = 225

∴ The length of the train is 225m

Given,

Speed of the train=15m/s

Speed of the another train=25m/s

Time to cross to platform=25s

Another train crosses the platform=38s

To Find,

Length of train B.

Solution,

Here, speed of the train = 15 m/s.

Length of the platform = 300 meters

Time taken by train to cross the platform = 35 seconds.

When the train crosss the platform, then

the total distance traveled by the train will be equal to the sum of length of the train and the length of the platform.

We know,

Distance = Speed × Time

Let the length of the train B is x.

According to the question,

300 + x = 15 × 35

⇒ 300 + x = 525

⇒ x = 525 - 300

⇒ x = 225

Hence, the length of the train B is 225m.
