Answer:

The required speed is 66.67km/hr and average speed is 75km/hr.

Explanation:

Given that,

The total distance required to be covered by train=1200km

The total time in which distance must be covered=16 hours

Average speed can be found using relation

V _{avg} =  \frac{total \: distance}{total \: time}

By substituting known values,we get

V _{avg} =  \frac{1200km}{16hr}  = 75kmhr {}^{ - 1}

Also given that first 800km is covered in 10 hours.

Therefore remaining distance is

1200 - 800 = 400km

The remaining time is

16 - 10 = 6 \: hours

Hence,the required speed can be found as

V =  \frac{400km}{6hr}  = 66.67kmhr {}^{ - 1}

Therefore,The required speed is 66.67km/hr and average speed is 75km/hr.
