Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the speed be x

(20*40+x*80)/120=40

80(x+10)=40*120

x+10=60

x=50

Hence it should run with 50kmph for the rest of the distance

Anonymous: No the answer is 80 km/hr
ABHlJEET: You can ask anyone my answer is correct

Answer:

80km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

let the speed for remaining distance be xkm/h

remai ning dist.= 80km

total journey avg speed = 40

distance = 120

time = 120/40 = 3hr

distance already traveled is 40 km witha speed of 20km/hr so the time is 40/20 = 2 hr

time left = 1 hr

distance left is 80 km

speed = 80/1 = 80km/hr
