Answer:

The speed at which the train must cover the remaining distance is 50 km/hr.

Given:

Total distance between the trains = 55 km

Total time to be taken by the train = 1 hr 20 min = 1.333 hr.  (Converting time in hours)

Speed of the train to cover first 30 km = 36 km/hr.

Time taken by the train to cover the first 30 km distance = 30/36 = 0.833 hr

Remaining distance = 55 - 30 = 25 km

Remaining time = 1.333 - 0.833 = 0.5 hr.

Now, speed = Distance / time

Speed = 25 / 0.5 = 50 km/hr

The train must travel at a speed of 50 km/hr to complete the rest of the journey in time.
