A train is moving along a straight path with a uniform acceleration.its engine passes a pole with a velocity of 60 km/ h and the end passes across the same pole with a velocity of 80 km/ h. The middle point of the train will pass the same pole with a velocity?

Answer:

for this sum

u = 60km/hr

and v = 80km/hr

in middle point of post the velocity is

 =  \sqrt{ \frac{ {u}^{2} +  {v}^{2}  }{2 } }  \\  =   \sqrt{ \frac{ {60}^{2}  +  {80}^{2} }{2} }   \\ =  \sqrt{ \frac{3600 + 6400}{2} }   \\ =  \sqrt{ \frac{10000}{2} }  \\  =  \sqrt{5000}  \\  = 10 \times 5 \sqrt{2} \\  =50 \times 1.414  \\ = 70.71

Ans: 70.71km/hr
