hi friend,
given u=180kmph(5/18)=50m/s
v=0m/s
a=-2m/s²(- bcoz of deceleration)
now we know that
v²-u²=2as
by substituting the values
-2500=-4s
s=2500/4=625m
so the train driver should apply brakes at the distance of 625m from the station
I hope this will help u ;)
