then,

Distance travelled by the train in 24 minutes =

$\frac{75}{60} \times 24$

= 30km

(2) Time taken to cover a distance of 75 km= 60 min

then,

time taken to cover a distance of 175 km=

$\frac{175}{75} \times 60$

= 100 min or 1 hour 40 min.
