ANSWER

• Let the distance traveled in km in 20 minutes be x and the time required to cover a distance of 250 km = y .

DISTANCE TRAVELED (IN KM)

• 75 x 250

DISTANCE TRAVELED (IN MIN)

• 60 20 y

Since the speed uniform So distance

(1) We have 75 / 60 = x / 20

or 75/60×20 = x

or x = 25

So a train will cover a distance of 25km in 20 min

(2) Also 75/60 = 250/y

or y = 250 × 60 / 75 =200min

or 3h 20 min

Therefore 3h and 20 min will be required to cover a distance of 250km
