A train is moving with a velocity of 30 km per hour due east and a car is moving with velocity of 40 km due north what is the velocity of the car pedal passenger

Can't get the meaning properly. Yet, I think, the velocity of the passengers in the car should be equal to the velocity of the car i.e. 40km/h due north
