Given :

▪ Speed of train = 144kmph

▪ Time interval = 10s

To Find :

▪ Distance covered by train in the given interval of time.

Concept :

⭐ Speed is defined as the ratio of distance travelled to the time taken.

⭐ It is a scalar quantity.

⭐ It can't be negative or zero.

⭐ It has only magnitude.

⭐ SI unit : m/s

Conversion :

↗ 1kmph = 1000/3600 = 5/18mps

↗ 144kmph = 144 × 5/18 = 40mps

Calculation :

\dashrightarrow\tt\:Speed=\dfrac{Distance}{Time}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\tt\:40=\dfrac{Distance}{10}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\tt\:Distance = 40\times 10\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\underline{\boxed{\bf{\blue{Distance=400m=0.4km}}}}\:\orange{\bigstar}
