Given :-

  • Acceleration = 2 m/s²
  • Initial velocity = u = 18 km/h
  • Final velocity = v = 54 km/h

To find :-

Distance covered = s

Formula used:

  • v² - u² = 2as

Solution :-

Step 1: To Convert km/h into m/s multiply by 5/18

  • 18 km/h = 18 × 5/18 = 5 m/s
  • 54 km/h = 54 × 5/18 = 15 m/s

Step 2: Apply Second Equation of motion.

v² - u² = 2as

⇒ 15² - 5² = 2 × 2 × s

⇒ 225 - 25 = 4s

⇒ 200 = 4s

⇒ s = 200 ÷ 4

⇒ s = 50 m

∴ Distance = 50 m
