Answer:

velocity= 120km/hr

time=30 min=30/60=1/2 hr  (since   1 min = 1/60 hr)

so, velocity= displacement/time

               displacement = velocity*time

                                     =120km/hr *1/2 hr

                                     =60 km

displacement is a vector quantity since it has direction

distance is a scalar quantity and is not dependent upon direction.

generally speed= distance/time(speed is scalar quantity)
