Given :

  • A train is running on a circular track of radius 1 km. At the rate of 36 km per hour.

To find :

  • The angle to the nearest minute, through which it will turn in 30 seconds is ?

Solution :

A train is running on a circular track of radius 1 km.

The circumference of track is

C=2\pi rC=2πr

C=2\times \frac{22}{7}\times 1=\frac{44}{7}

C=\frac{44000}{7}

Train is running at the rate of 36 km per hour.

i.e. train covers

36\times \frac{5}{18}

×30=300 m in 30 seconds

The train turns with angle

 \frac{300}{\frac{44000}{7}}\times 360^\circ

The train turns with angle

17.18^\circ

The train turns with angle

17^\circ18'17
