A train is traveling at a speed of 90kmperh .brakes are applied so as to produce a uniform acceleration of _0.5m persec .find how far the train will go before it is broght to rest.​

final speed, v = 0 m/s

uniform acceleration, a = -0.5 m/s2

Using equation of motion: v2 = u2 + 2as

We have: 0 = (25)^2 + 2x(-0.5)xs

s = 625 m

[s: distance traveled by the train after the brakes are applied and before it is finally brought into rest]
