A train is travelling at 120km/hr from north and another train travelling from south at 75km/hr.If the total distance from north to south is 6000k.m.Then find the distance from north at which both trains will meet.​

Answer:

Speed of first train = 120kph

Speed of second train = 75kph

Total distance from north to south = 6000km

Time taken by Train A to complete the journey = 6000÷120 = 50 hours

Time taken by Train B to complete the journey =

6000÷75 = 80 hours

Distance from north at which both the trains will meet = 50×80=4000 km

Hence, at a distance of 4000 km from north,both the trains will meet
