Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 40m/s

  • Final velocity (v) = 80m/s

  • Time (t) = 1 second

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Acceleration (a)

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

We know that,

Acceleration = (Final velocity - Initial velocity) /Time taken

Put the above given values in it, we get,

a = (80 - 40)/1

a = 40 m/s²

Hence,

  • Acceleration (a) = 40 m/s²

Correct Question

A Train is travelling at 40 m/s speed up-to 80 m/s in a second.

TO FINd

Find the acceleration of the train

SOLUTIOn

  • Initial velocity (u) = 40m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 80m/s
  • time taken (t) = 1 s
  • Acceleration (a) = ?

Apply this formula

→ v = u + at

→ 80 = 40 + a × 1

→ a = 80 - 40

→ a = 40m/s²

Hence, the acceleration of the train is 40m/
