Answer:

v²=u²+2as

0²=25²+2×(-0.5)s

-625=-1s

so, s=625m

Answer:

626 m

Explanation:

Given :

Initial velocity u = 25 m / sec

When break applied v = 0 m / sec

Re-acceleration a = 0.5 m / sec²

We are asked to find distance :

Using third equation of motion :

= > v² = u² + 2 a s

= > s = ( v² - u² ) / 2 a

Putting values here we get :

= > s = ( 0² - 25² ) / -( 2 × 0.5 ) m

= > s = - 626 / - 1 m

= > s = 626 m

Therefore , train travel 626 m distance before come to rest!
