THIS MIGHT HELP YOU MATE

When brakes are applied, the uniform acceleration of the train is -0.6 m/s². We have to find the distance covered by the train before it come to rest. So, the train will go 520.8 m before coming to rest. Hence, this is the required solution

Answer:

Explanation:

v = 0 m/s

u = 90×5/18 = 25m/s

a= - 0.5 m/s² (retardation)

v² - u² = 2as

0 - 25² = - 2× 0.5× s

s= 625 m
