Answer:

s = 625 m

Explanation:

Given

v = 90km/h => 90×5/18 => 25m/s

a = -0.5m/s²

s = ?

We know

★ v = u + at ★

➞ 25 = 0 -0.5 × t

➞ 25 = -0.5t

➞ t = 25/0.5

t = 50sec

And

★ s = ut + ½ at²

➞ s = 0 + ½ × 0.5 × (50)²

➞ s = ½ × 0.5 × 2500

➞ s = ½ × 1250

s = 625 m

train will go 625m before it is brought to rest
