Hi
To solve this numerical we must use the equation of motion - - -
u =90km/h
=125m/s
a = - 0.5m/s^2
v =0
v^2= u ^2 +2as
=>0 = (125)^2 +2 (-0.5)s
=>s = 250m
Ans : the distance travelled by the train before coming to rest is 250m.
Hope this helps. :)
