a train is travelling at a spped of 72km/h. The driver applies brakes so that an uniform accelaration of -0.2m/s2 i produced. Find distance travelled by train before it comes to rest

Here is ur answer :

U = 72km/h = 72× 5/18 m/s

= 20m/s

A = - 0.2 m/s

V = 0

From 3rd equation of motion.

V²- U² = 2as

0² - 20² = 2 × - 0.2 × s

-400= -0.4 × s

S = - 400/-0.4

S = 1000m
