a train leaves x station at 5:00pm
a train reaches another station at 12:00am
time taken he reaches another station=7
its speed in 1hour=90km
its speed in 7hours=90×7=630km

Given:

Departure time of train (X) = 5:00 pm

Arriving time (destination) (y) = 12:00 am

Speed of train (S) = 90 km/h

To find:

Distance between stations X and Y (D).

Solution:

We have been given the time of the journey and speed of the journey

which are T and S respectively .

Hence,

We have a basic relation between the three values as

Speed S=\frac{D}{T}

therefore,  D = S * T

Here, time T will be (12 -5) = 7 hours

Substituting the given values in the equation, we get

D = 90 * 7

Hence,

Distance = 630 km

Final answer:

Hence, total distance of the journey or distance between the stations X and Y will be 630 km.
