Time taken by first train to cover the distance = 4 hrs. Similarly, time taken by the second train to traverse the same distance = 3.5 hrs.

Thus, the ratio of their speeds = (1 / 4) : (1 / 3.5) = 7 : 8.

Let their speeds be 7X km/hr and 8X km/hr respectively. Thus, D = 4 x 7X = 28X.

At 7 AM, when the second train starts its journey, distance already covered by first train = 14X. Therefore, at 7 AM, the distance between the two trains is 28X - 14X = 14X.

Time taken by the trains to meet = Distance between them / Relative Speed = 14X / (7X + 8X) = 14 / 15 hours = 14 / 15 x 60 minutes = 56 minutes.

Thus, the trains will meet 56 minutes after 7AM, i.e., at 7 : 56 AM.
