Let x m be the length of the train and y m/s be the speed of the train

then x/y = 8

⇒x = 8y

Also x+264/20 = y

x+264 = 20y

8y+264 = 20y

12y = 264

y = 22

Hence speed of train = 22m/s = 22*18/5 km/hr = 79.2 km/hr
