A train moving at 50 km/h meets another train moving in opposite direction at 40 km/h. A passenger sitting in the first train observed that the second train took exactly 8.4 seconds to pass him. How long is the second train?

Since the trains are moving in opposite directions, the speed of crossing is 90 km/h. In 8.4 s, the distance covered (which is the length of the other train) is (90000/3600)*8.4=210 m.

Hope this helps.....
