Answer:

given: a = 4m/sec², t = 10 sec, u = 0

to find s

formula : s = ut + 1/2at²

=> s = 0*10 + 1/2*4*10²

=> s = 0 + 200

=> s = 200 m

train covers 200 m in 10 seconds

Answer :

Given -

  • Acceleration = 4 m/s²
  • The train starts from rest
  • Time = 10 seconds

To Find -

  • Displacement by the train ?

Solution -

By Newton's equation of motion : s = ut + ½at².

Here,

  • s = Displacement
  • u = Initial Velocity
  • t = Time
  • a = Acceleration

Substituting the values,

⇒ s = 0*10 + ½*4*10²

⇒ s = 0 + 2*100

⇒ s = 200 m

So, Displacement by the train = 200 m.
