HOLA!!

HERE WE GO

GIVEN

distance = (100+80)m (added length of bridge too)

speed = 36km/hr = 36000/3600=10ms^-1

time = ?

SOLUTION

speed = distance /time

time = distance /speed

= 180 /10

time =18s

ANSWER: time = 18 s

Concept

Time is calculate by the ratio of distance and speed .

Given

Length of the train given is 100 meters (distance)

The length of bridge given is 80 meters

The speed given is 36km/ hr

Find

We need to find the Time

Solution

Length of the train = 100 meters

Length of the bridge = 80  meters

Total distance covered = 100+80 = 180 meters

Speed = 36km/hr

We need to convert km/ hr into meter per second

We know that 1 km = 1000 m

So 36 km = 36000 m

We know 1 hour = 3600 seconds

Therefore m/s = 36000/3600 = 10m/s

Hence the speed in m/s is 10m/s

Now Calculating the Time

We know that Time =  Total distance covered /  speed

Time = 180/10

∴ Time = 18 seconds

Hence the Time is 18 seconds
