The answer is as below:

Length of the train=100m

Time taken=5sec

Therefore,the speed of the train is=(100/5)m/s²

                                                         =20 m/s²

Answer:

⇒ Length of the train is 100 m and time taken to cross the pool is 5 sec so divide 100 by 5 you will get the velocity of train to be 20 m/s and if you want convert m/s to km/hr multiply by 18/5 the result comes out to be 72 km/hr.

→ Let suppose the pole as a point, and the length of the train is 100m as given, and we know that it crosses that pole in 5s.

• The formula to calculate velocity is,

\blue{\boxed{\boxed{\rm{v = \dfrac{d}{t} }}}}

  • v - velocity
  • d - distance
  • t - time

distance = 100m, time = 5s

Velocity = 100/5 = 20m/s

→  To convert m/s to km/hr multiply by 18/5

20 × 18/5 = 72km/h

Therefore,

\red{\boxed{\rm {Speed \;of\; the\; train\; is\; 72km/h}}}
